Sports Acrobatics (ACRO)
Sports Acrobatics is a competitive based Program. Acrobatic Gymnastics is a beautiful, dynamic and spectacular sport for both men and women. The sport develops courage, strength, stamina, {+} co-ordination, flexibility, jumping abilities, adroitness etc. Sports acrobatics unites its power and poise, with grace and beauty to create an intriguing sport. Acrobats in groups of two, three and four perform routines with the heads, hands and feet of their partners.
Although Acrobatic Gymnastics is the official name of the sport, it is often referred to as acrobatics, acro sports or simply sports acro.
Disciplines of Acrobatic Gymnastics:
Sports acrobatics has five disciplines (as described below): women’s pairs, men’s pairs, mixed pairs, women’s trios and men’s fours.
Women’s Pairs involves two females (one base and one top).
Men’s Pairs includes two males (one base and one top).
Mixed Pairs is comprised of a male (the base) and a female (the top).
Women’s Trios (otherwise known as Women’s Groups) has a female base, female middle and female top.
Men’s Fours (also known as Men’s Groups) utilises four males (base, middle 1, middle 2 and a top).
Term Fee Structure for the Sports Acrobatics Program
All Acro gymnast members have an $87 compulsory registration/insurance fee. This fee registers and insures your child through Gymnastics Australia via the NSW Gymnastics Association and the Youth Club. This is a yearly fee and must be paid by your 2nd lesson. At this stage Acro is only held one day per week. Fees are paid on per term basis and may be incorporated with any other discipline at the youth club. Trampoline Sports (TRAMP)
The Trampoline Sports Program is catered towards beginners and advanced. It is the perfect sport to teach your child safe and developmentally sound aerial skills, whilst also developing co-ordination and body awareness. Trampoline Sports develops confident body movement, both on and off the ground. It builds strength and challenges the mind and body to reach new goals. It develops posture and agility, including the ability to land safely.
Fee Structure for Trampoline Sports
All trampoline Sports members have a $50 compulsory registration/insurance fee for recreational trampoline and an $87 compulsory registration/insurance fee, for competitive trampoline. This fee registers and insures your child through Gymnastics Australia via the NSW Gymnastics Association and the Youth Club. This is a yearly fee and must be paid by your 2nd lesson. Fees are paid either per class or per term (depending on the entry level) and may be incorporated with any other discipline at the youth club. Please contact the youth club to discuss fee options.
