Men’s and Women’s National Levels Program
The National Development Levels 1-3 and National Level 4-10 Programs have been designed by a group of persons directly involved in gymnastics within Australia, that are technical members of Australian Gymnastics. Our club follows these guidelines and routines to enable our gymnasts to compete and develop gymnastics at a safe standard along with other gymnasts throughout Australia. Gymnasts have an opportunity to compete for their Club, Region, State or Nation. As the gymnast moves through the Levels they will become stronger, more flexible and develop a large range of skills and routines that are beautiful to watch. We will help the gymnast reach their goals through continued education and knowledge of the sport. If you have any questions about this package please contact the Youth Club and talk to one of our coaches.
The program is only as competitive as the individual wishes to make it. The main emphasis is on providing a happy and stimulating environment allowing the individual to reach their maximum potential.{+}
Team Selection Process
Local and Regional Competitions
Gymnasts compete for their club and there may not be a selection process as there are rarely entry limitations. If the number of entries, however, is limited, it will be at the coach’s discretion.
Country Championships
Gymnasts compete for their club. Team size is often a maximum of 4. To decide team placement, gymnasts previous competitions throughout the year will be recorded. A club competition may be needed to select a final team.
NSW State Championships
Levels 1-3 compete under the Far North Coast Region. The regional team is decided by a regional competition, where the top 6 gymnasts with a certain qualification score set by NSW is selected. All clubs in the region may enter into regional selection.
Level 4-10 gymnasts must compete at State trials. The top 80 gymnasts with a certain qualification score set by NSW will be selected to compete at State. In Levels 7-10 gymnasts may also be selected to compete for their State at the Australian National Championships. Team Selection is set by Gymnastics NSW.

Over the Boarder Competitions
The levels gymnastics program caters for all competitive events. With driving times and costs associated with competitions in NSW, there will be events, spread across the year, in Queensland as an option for competitive gymnasts. These competitions are closer to home, with less driving time, and have proved to be a great option and addition to our competitive events program.
Training Requirements and Hours
Whilst our aim is to provide every gymnast equal opportunity, it is recommended that as you move through the levels you increase your hours of training. This is to develop the required strength, flexibility and skill level to train and compete at a satisfactory standard.
